Tamil Nadu: Bus Carrying Migrant Students, It Employees Collides with Tanker, 25 Injured

Several students and IT employees hailing Kerala’s Kottayam, Kerala, who were stranded in Bengaluru due to the national lockdown, were travelling to their native towns in the bus when the accident took place.

s many as 25 people were injured after a water tanker and a bus collided on the Karur-Salem National Highway in Tamil Nadu on Sunday.

The bus collided with a water tanker at the Ram Nagar highway crossing on Karur-Salem National Highway.

Passersby rushed at least 24 passengers and the bus driver to a nearby hospital. This is said to be the first road accident in Karur district after the lockdown was announced.

Several students and IT employees hailing Kerala’s Kottayam, Kerala, who were stranded in Bengaluru due to the national lockdown, were travelling to their native towns in the bus when the accident took place. They were provided a special bus with e-pass to make this trip to Kerala.
