INDORE: Despite lockdown, Indore district witnessed an increase in accidental cases in month of May than April.
According to 108 ambulance services record of district, accidental cases in district went up to 184 in May from 68 cases in April.
However, overall calls from patients in need of ambulance decreased. The overall calls decreased from 1460 in April to 1217 in May in district.
District health PRO and ambulance services in charge Manisha Pandit said,”The accidental cases calls have increased in the district in May in comparison to April because of relaxation in lockdown in May.”
The district witnessed complete lockdown in April after outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
However, it was little bit relaxed in May so the movement of vehicles increased so the accidental cases increased, said Pandit.
The accidental cases witnessed drastic decrease in April in comparison in March. The cases declined from 338 cases from March to 68 in April.
In other categories, cases witnessed decline in categories like pregnancy related cases, acute abdomen, cardiac or cardiovascular, respiratory cases and others categories.
Moreover, 108 ambulance services ferried around 1500 Covid-19 related cases in last two months during the lockdown apart from the cases mentioned in different categories.
